Location: Prosper Medical Office Building Department: Cln-Surgery-Peds Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations. Qualifications: High School diploma required. Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required. Current BLS Certification required. Job Summary A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse. The charge nurse will follow up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. (BW2) QUALIFICATIONS : Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing. Previous patient care experience preferred. Current certification for Medication Aide. RESPONSIBLITIES Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor. Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation. Reports medication reorder. Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required. Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms. Current certification for Medication Aide.
