Certified Medical Assistant Part Time 730A-4P GENERAL DESCRIPTION Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager performs selected patient-care tasks for patients of all ages, gender, cultures, and backgrounds in the clinic setting. In addition, laboratory and office duties are performed as needed. This position has no supervisory responsibility. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms for medical provider visit. Obtains and documents in Meditech system subjective data (chief complaint and allergies). Obtains and documents objective data (vital signs and weight). Communicates to provider and/or other care team members information about the patients; any problems, needs, or changes in patient’s status. Anticipates and prepares the exam room with equipment and supplies required for the visit and assists the health care team with exams and procedures.
