Verify that adequate supply of stock medications, supplies, and equipment is on hand to meet the nursing needs of the participants. Report needs to supervisor. Verify that narcotic records are accurate for your shift. Follow facility policies and procedures regarding the destruction of medications. Provide medical transportation of residents to appointments. Obtain the necessary paperwork from the Physician/clinician and provide liaison work back to manager and facility. Schedule medical appointments, as requested. Obtain medication from the pharmacy and distribute to residences. Review medication inventory, documentation and expirations.
