About the position: As a Medical Assistant at Madison Health, you will be responsible for supporting the patient care treatment process by assisting the physician and other clinical staff in the appropriate delivery of patient care services. Greet patient and family promptly in a positive manner upon arrival. Prepare patient chart. Collect patient insurance and demographic information and enter into the IHIS system in accordance with registration policies and procedures. Assess method and/or ability to pay, identify and communicate necessary insurance requirements to other ancillary staff where appropriate; answer patient questions; notify clinical staff of patient arrival. Additional Information: The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers comprehensive, high-acuity care to critically ill adult surgical patients in the intensive care setting. Working collaboratively with surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams, the APP manages complex postoperative and medically fragile patients across a wide range of surgical specialties, including trauma, acute care surgery, transplant, vascular, and general surgery. The APP practices at the top of their license, providing direct patient care, performing advanced clinical assessments, managing critical illness, coordinating perioperative and postoperative care, and supporting continuity across the surgical critical care service.
