Summary The Department of Dermatology is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide care to patients for an out-patient clinical setting in one or more specialized areas, cosmetics, laser, general dermatology, and Mohs surgery, under the direction of a physician. This individual will provide patient care in the outpatient setting, with potential to assist in the operating room while working closely with faculty, residents, and clinical staff within the department. The accepted candidate will be required to provide clinical excellence, scholarly enthusiasm, and a track record of excellent clinical performance. The practitioner will have direct patient care responsibilities. Job Purpose Provide advanced care to patients in a clinical setting in the area of dermatologic specialization under the direction of a physician. Job Duties Responsibilities will include clinic evaluation, diagnosis, work up, and management of a wide spectrum of dermatologic ailments. The provider will work in collaboration within the assigned physician’s clinic, as well as their own scheduled clinics. The selected candidate will perform comprehensive histories and physical exams; order and interpret clinical tests, prescribe medications, diagnose, and develop treatment plans; educate patients/families on treatment options; and conduct follow-up evaluations. May perform such office procedures as excisions, repairs, cosmetics procedures, and biopsies. On-the-job training is available in building these skills. This position affords a tremendous opportunity for autonomy and independent patient care responsibilities. Maintain records, write orders, and document progress notes in patient charts as to status, treatments, and procedures. Evaluates and modifies the plan of care as needed under the direction of the supervising physician. Provide follow-up care to patients, education, and support for patients in accordance with protocols established by the supervising physician. Communicate with physicians, patients, and the patient’s family about patient care. Collaborates with providers and practice staff in identifying appropriate patient care management. Meet or exceed productivity standards as established by section and/or department. Maintain credentialing at all times to ensure practice is not disrupted. Renew and meet all required and licensure certification requirements. Keep up with continuing medical education requirements as per college and section requirements. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education Required: Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies. Experience Required: 2+ years. Join AccentCare as a Clinical Liaison VIPC, Inpatient Hospice Admissions RN, where you’ll serve as a trusted resource for patients, families, and healthcare partners — helping ensure those who need hospice care receive timely, compassionate support. As a Clinical Liaison VIPC, Inpatient Hospice Admissions RN, you will play a key role in identifying patient needs and facilitating seamless transitions into hospice services. In this role, you’ll need the heart of a nurse and a polished business savvy to interact with physicians and healthcare leadership. When hospital patients transfer to hospice, they may stay in the hospital, but care will transfer to the AccentCare Hospice team. What You Need to Know Key Reponsibilities: Build and maintain trusted relationships with physicians, hospital staff, and care teams through daily in‑person collaboration and communication. Serve as the primary clinical resource for hospice education, eligibility, and appropriateness. Conduct patient assessments and coordinate the admission process. Partner with Admissions, Clinical, and Care Teams for smooth transitions. Advocate for patients and families during goals‑of‑care conversations. Participate in interdisciplinary planning, training, and outreach. Uphold ethics, quality, and continuous learning. Meet expectations for response times, referral coordination, and communication. Be the Best Inpatient Hospice Clinical Liaison Registered Nurse RN You Can Be If you meet these qualifications, we want to meet you!
