Ensures accurate recording (saving to program), reporting (uploading, creating letters from template for physician review) and authorization (physician signature); Other data entry includes billing codes. Coordinates clinic scheduling needs, including coordination of device tech vendors and representatives. Enrolls patients electronically for remote monitoring and educate patients on device care and follow up including home monitoring instructions. Provides proper support as medical assistant as necessary (prepare and room patient, take vitals/bp, conducts EKG or ECT, review meds). May perform INR for Coumadin and refill scripts, assist with clinical calls from patients, physician offices, hospitals and nursing homes.
