We are currently searching for an Advanced Practice Provider, preferably with experience (but open to new grads), to join our General Surgery Team at Rex UNC Health. The role is primarily 1st assisting in the operating room, but inpatient rounds and clinic are also included. The ideal applicant will be able to work in the OR in robotic, laparoscopic, and open cases daily. The applicant should be comfortable working and communicating effectively with multiple providers, the OR, hospital staff, and consulting departments as needed. Hours will be decided upon by the Surgical Team, but are typically a combination of 8, 10, &/or 12 hour shifts, 4 days per week. One weekend per month (1 in 4 weekends) is required to help with rounds, and there is a rotation on the holidays. There is no phone coverage required outside of the hospital Summary: An Advanced Practice Provider functions as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high quality, cost effective care to patients within the APPs scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.
