Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred, but not required. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). For Rural Health Network facilities and Good Samaritan Society (GSS) locations only, employees who do not possess a Bachelor’s degree, leadership may consider an educational plan with proven continuous action toward achieving a Bachelor’s degree within five years of hire into position. Performing clinical procedures such as port flushes, dressing changes, injections, and catheterizations. Assessing patients in person and by phone for side effects, toxicities, emergencies, and overall well-being. Supporting physicians with diagnostic procedures and reporting thorough nursing assessments. Preparing daily treatment schedules and ensuring readiness of teaching materials and clinic resources. Maintaining a clean, organized treatment environment and delegating tasks appropriately. Responding calmly to emergencies and operating necessary equipment. Triaging patient calls and collaborating with team nurses to provide timely support. Traveling to satellite clinics 1–2 days per week to extend care across our network. Maintaining professional relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, and community partners. Staying current with education and obtaining OCN certification within 3 years. Upholding HIPAA and safety standards in all aspects of care. Qualifications What We’re Looking For Current Illinois RN license (required) BSN preferred 1+ year of clinical nursing experience Passion for oncology nursing and patient-centered care Ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally rewarding environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
