Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Nurse Anesthetist (Certified Registered) position is to administeranesthesia and anesthesia-related care in four general categories: (1) pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation; (2) anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence; (3) post-anesthesia care; and (4) perianesthetic and clinical support functions. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Education Program with a Master’s Degree in a related field; or graduation from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education programs prior to January 1998 is required. Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to provide direct patient care, perform nursing procedures, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diagnostic and interventional cardiology patients in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting as observed by the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager, and patient/family feedback unless otherwise noted. Serves as a resource for the health care team in the intravenous access, placement, management, and patient/family education for care and maintenance. Service area is both inpatient and outpatient. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Qualifications Associate's Degree Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
