She has also taken on ensuring our policies and procedures are up to date and in alignment with the enterprise and the latest evidence-based practices. Our staffing core is 5 nurses, though we have a robust per diem team as well as status nurses willing to pick up to help the team. Our assignments are generally 1 :3 ( i.e. feeder/growers) or 1:2 ( i.e. CPAP, stable vent, central lines) with the occasional 1:1 for those extremely high acuity babies ( i.e. cooling, unstable jet or oscillator, nitric).
