Job Overview Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our Cancer Care team at the Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN This is a 1.0 FTE ( 80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening. Perform patient correspondence when requested and assist patients in completing forms when appropriate. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to procedure and OSHA standards. Complete scheduled cleaning requirements for designated work areas. Document completion of work to comply with infection control and OSHA standards Implement other infection control procedures as needed and adhere to protective clothing requirements. Ensure clinic supplies are adequately stocked and well organized. Process and deliver department inventory requests in a timely manner. Routinely check expiration dates and remove or replace outdated supplies. Maintain prescription sample supply cabinet as per clinic protocol Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and adequate records are kept. Ensure inventory of instruments and equipment is current. Ensure instruments and equipment are calibrated as needed and maintained in proper working order. The Medical Assistant and LPN position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must possess speech, hearing, and sight skills to perform the functions of the position. Nursing Assistant - Heart Care Unit

Job Overview Fairview is looking for a Nursing Assistant to join our St. John’s Hospital team in Maplewood, MN. This position is 56 hours per two weeks on the Day/Evening shift, for 8 hour shifts, every other weekend. This hospital provides a warm, inviting atmosphere and humble staff. About This Unit: Looking for an opportunity to gain experience on a cardiovascular unit? This is a 33 bed Heart Care unit with rapid turnaround for patients that stay on average for 2.5 days. Our typical patient population consists of patients with observable chest pain, ruling out anything cardiac related, stroke patients, and alcohol withdrawal. We prepare and recover our patients for stress tests, echocardiograms, and cardiac procedures including diagnostic angiograms/stent placement, ablations, pacemakers and ICD insertions, and open heart surgery. Our unit cares for many patients with heart failure and cardiac arrythmias needing IV drips. A member of the interdependent team led by a designated RN, is accountable to perform patient care duties and activities for a group of patients. Performs such care as vital sign checks, bladder scanning, blood sugar testing, documentation of cares provided. Reports patient care data and progress of outcomes to designated RN. Job Expectations: Demonstrates dedication to the universal guiding principles of the patient care model in order to achieve the Fairview Nursing vision. Supports the Nursing Process to achieve outcome focused patient care. Department Overview The pediatric emergency department at Children’s Minnesota Minneapolis campus is the only freestanding pediatric Level I trauma center in the area. Our interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals cares for a wide-range of pediatric trauma and injuries, such as chest, bone, spinal cord, head and neck and abdominal injuries. We care for over 48,000 patients annually and treat almost 40 percent of all pediatric trauma in the Twin Cities. Our 28-bed Level I trauma center serves our neighbors in Minneapolis, as well as outlying facilities that depend on our critical care expertise. We offer a variety of services to our community partners, including critical care transport and telehealth. Although our specialty is pediatric emergency medicine, we are a community-based hospital that serves as a safety-net for families without a primary care provider. Position Summary Coordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members. Education Requirements: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Current Minnesota RN licensure. * Current BLS certification. * One (1) year current (within the last 2 years) ED experience. An informational meeting with the Patient Care Manager is required prior to awarding the position. * Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment. * Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or obtained during orientation. * Proof of active ENPC upon hire or completion of Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) during orientation required. * Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required or obtained during orientation. Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic/Surgical Unit

$41.22 - $70.45 / hour
We are currently hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Orthopedic/Surgical unit. This position is a .6 FTE straight Evening shifts. 8-hour shifts M-F and 12 hour shifts every third weekends. Current RN License Required. Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience is preferred. An RN position in the Orthopedic/Surgical Unit at Gillette Children's involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients under 18 who are recovering from surgery and require an inpatient stay of one or more nights. In addition to post-surgical care, nurses in this unit also care for non-surgical patients needing medical treatment that requires a short hospital stay. RNs in this role collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to manage pain, wound care, and recovery, while also educating families about the treatment process. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate, family-centered approach to care. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, family-centered nursing care that supports optimal patient outcomes. You’ll conduct thorough assessments, create individualized and evidence-based care plans, implement interventions, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team. You’ll practice autonomously, using sound judgment and incorporating evidence-based improvements into daily work while supervising and delegating appropriately. Pay is dependent on several factors including number of hours worked within the field, education, and certification/licensure: $1.75 weekend/ $2.35 evening/ $4.00 night differential is available for this position.
