Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to provide direct patient care, perform nursing procedures, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diagnostic and interventional cardiology patients in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting as observed by the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager, and patient/family feedback unless otherwise noted. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Plans, implements and evaluates individualized care based on patient assessment, medical plan of care and the age and/or thedevelopmental stages of the patient. Performs nursing procedures and clinical tasks specific to diagnostic and interventional cardiology patients. Provides direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Ensures quality of care as observed by the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and supported by patient and family feedback. Provides direct patient care or direction and supervision to other health team members to ensure proper implementation of aplan for the health/illness state and a plan of care. Qualifications What You’ll Bring Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Minimum of one (1) year of experience required in: Special procedures, or Radiology, or Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Applicants with at least one (1) year of recent experience in the following will also be considered: Critical Care Telemetry Emergency Department Current ACLS and BLS certifications required. Newly hired Cath Lab nurses must complete 6–8 weeks of Cath Lab procedure training with an experienced nurse preceptor. Overview About the Role The Staff Nurse (Cancer Center) is responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care tailored to the unique needs of each individual and their family, in alignment with professional nursing standards. Overview About the Role Leverages extensive subject matter expertise on clinical systems and knowledge of clinical operations and workflows to coordinate the activities of medical staff in the planning, development, implementation, and support of clinical information systems/solutions to improve the delivery of patient care and hospital operations. Advances efficient and effective patient care by adapting and integrating current hospital processes. Ensures the integration of clinical content across users and/or applications. Ensures that systems are implemented and functioning under the guidance of acceptable University policies and procedures and meet all regulatory requirements. Develops testing strategies according to system build and downstream system requirements. Develops and manages complex projects. Provides work direction and guidance to Analyst and Project Staff as needed. For the purpose of a project or assignment, may report to a Manager or Associate Director for assignments and tasks. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Assists physicians, nurses, and other clinicians with design, implementation, workflow optimization, and issue resolution related to electronic health record (EHR) and other clinical applications. Functions as a liaison between the clinical community and IT analysts, and a key resource for application and/or clinical workflows and software systems. Develops and manages complex projects. Works with clinical users to understand clinical information technology project needs. Recommends resource planning and support needs to ensure successful project implementation. Oversees the design and development of application programs from analysis to implementation and assists with these duties as needed. Creates system specification and workflow documents for new projects and/or features. Maintains existing specifications and project documents for complex clinical IT initiatives that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables. Coordinates the installation of software and/or hardware. Works in concert with other HST/IS&T Departments pertaining to the planning and implementation of systems to ensure that HST/IS&T standards are met. Qualifications What You’ll Bring Required: Bachelor’s Degree, with preference for Hospital Administration, a health related discipline (Nursing, Pharmacy, etc.), or related clinical field. Licensure in a clinical profession is required. Five (5) years of experience in information systems with preference given to candidates within a hospital environment. Extensive subject matter expertise on clinical systems and knowledge of clinical operations and workflows. Direct experience with electronic medical records is a plus; prior Epic experience is highly desirable. Must complete certification on Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training. Demonstrates interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Capable of functioning/leading in a team environment. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements. Additional relevant experience, or clinical expertise, may be substituted for information systems experience. Responsibilities The OB Scrub Technician provides direct care to obstetrical/neonatal patient under the direct supervision of a licensed RN. The OB Scrub Technician performs the role of surgical scrub for obstetrically related surgical procedures. Maintains aseptic environment during set-up for surgery or delivery and throughout surgical procedures. Responsible for maintaining and stocking supplies and equipment throughout the Labor and Delivery Suite, including Recovery and Operating Rooms. Assists with perioperative care as outlined in the policy and procedure manuals. Assist with deliveries, as necessary. Assists with other aspects of unit operations as assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technician Program. Certified as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or equivalent required. AHA CPR required. One (1) year of related experience preferred. Must maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance. Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with physicians and fellow workers. Must pay attention to detail. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. Must be self-motivated and work in an efficient and effective manner. Must work in air-conditioned environment with temperature of 65-73 degrees and humidity of 45-55%. When assigned to pediatric cases, temperature may be up to 85-90 degrees F. Must wear hospital provided scrub attire while on duty. Potential for cuts, bruises, muscle strains and exposure to contagious disease via and body fluids. Potential for exposure to anesthesia waste gases, ethylene oxide, harsh disinfectants, sterilizing agents, high steam pressure agents and radiation.
