Delivers direct patient care consistent with the advanced practice registered nurse’s education, experience and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management and/or referral of health care issues. Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy. Join our Inpatient Brain Injury Physical Rehab Unit, 8N! Primary Patient Population Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Primary Skills Utilized/learned Assisting patients with all aspects of personal hygiene, eating & drinking Answering call lights & taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and other parameters as instructed). Performing/transmitting basic ECG and phlebotomy. Personnel PCNA Will Work With LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Behavioral Observers, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians Number Of Beds On Unit 19 beds MetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE: Maintaining ODH Registry status as an STNA is optional after employment in this position). 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
