Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred. 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. 8. Part-time Evenings and Weekends SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this job position is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating the activity programs & quality assurance program in this facility for the Activities Department. Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement so that the facility activities & resident progress are evaluated, by noting, reporting and charting resident behavior. Assume the authority, responsibility & accountability of Activity Assistant/Aide. Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident’s response to the service. Develop & maintain a good working rapport with other departments within the facility to assure that daily activities can be performed without interruption. Create & maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility. Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs. Recommend to your supervisor the equipment and supply needs of the activity department. Assist in cleaning up activity areas after completing activity functions. Follow the care plan in providing daily activities for resident. Purchase department supplies, clothing and personal items for the residents. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information & follow facility guidelines in reporting non-compliance with said guidelines & treat residents with dignity at all times. Oversee residents engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of residents. Assists in-room residents by visiting with them, writing letters, running errands, and perform assistance with crafts, projects, etc., as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Examples are gallbladder’s, hernia’s, 24/7 c-section coverage, etc. Our nurses are responsible for on-call coverage that comprises of a 30-minute response time along with approximately 65 hours of being on-call per week. They administer medications, monitor vital signs, change dressings, and educate patients about their procedures. Job Summary The mission of the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is to support the health and wellness center’s clinical and clerical operations. As directed by the provider and Clinical Operations Manager, the MA assists the provider and performs appropriate tests and procedures. The CMA is responsible for administrative tasks for the health and wellness center and may assist the Patient Advocate in employee/patient engagement and outreach. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Clinical: Interviews patients and measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, BMI calculation, pulse oximeter and records information in the patient’s electronic medical record Performs clinical procedures including, but not limited to: injections, Electrocardiography (EKG), routine U/A, dipstick, capillary blood draw, Cholestech, Glucometer, and other medical tests and treatments under the direction of the provider. Proficient in spirometry venous labs draws, centrifuge Dispense medications as directed by the physician Proficient in the use and maintenance of Automated Eternal Defibrillator (AED) Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination Cleans and sterilizes instruments as appropriate Clerical: Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate forms, and manages the front desk/check in of patients Answers phones/phone triage and scheduling appointments Responsible for compliance and regulatory reporting Maintain clinic and patient records and telephone encounters Inventories and orders medical supplies, materials, and medications Follow up with center patients who miss appointments Schedule external appointments/referrals and make follow-up phone calls to patients regarding scheduling Ensure completion of all services ordered by the physician such that all reports, consult notes, and follow ups are in the chart for the physician to review Under the direction of the Patient Advocate, periodically assists with engagement/outreach functions Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: High school diploma or equivalent Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification Candidates who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within 6 months of employment Active and unrevoked certification such as RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification is preferred Current BLS certification through American Heart Association valid for at least 90 days after start date Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and Electronic medical records Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds Ability to prioritize needs and plan work accordingly Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements Work Environment & Physical Requirements This job primarily operates in a medical office environment and is required to interact with patients for the majority of the workday.
