Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Operating Room Technician II position is to be under the direct supervision of the professional nurse. The OR Technician II performs various duties to assist with surgical procedures and related operating room activities. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Collaborate closely with oncologists to provide comprehensive care for assigned hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient setting. Serve as the primary clinical point of contact, supporting patients throughout the continuum of cancer care. Conduct ongoing assessments of patient symptoms, treatment response, psychosocial needs, and barriers to care. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and symptom management strategies. Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely follow-up, referrals, testing, and treatment interventions. Connect patients and families with appropriate internal and community resources based on individual needs. Provide telephone and MyChart triage, addressing patient concerns and escalating clinical issues to providers as appropriate. Support physicians and Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) with patient follow-up, care coordination, and completion of disability and treatment-related documentation. Monitor and facilitate continuity of care to prevent gaps, delays, or obstacles in treatment. Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert for the assigned disease team. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, committee activities, and patient-centered programs that enhance oncology services and outcomes. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in a hospital-based practice required, preferably in Oncology. Spanish-speaking candidates are highly preferred. Strong team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Current CPR certification required. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/ONCC Provider Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate and/or Radiation Therapy Certificate required, or must be obtained within the first ninety (90) days of employment. All required certifications must be maintained throughout employment. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) national certification preferred. Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to provide direct patient care, perform nursing procedures, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diagnostic and interventional cardiology patients in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting as observed by the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager, and patient/family feedback unless otherwise noted. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Plans, implements and evaluates individualized care based on patient assessment, medical plan of care and the age and/or thedevelopmental stages of the patient.
