RadCore supports novel clinical and translational research studies in the Department of Radiology. We have an ongoing clinical study to collect matched blood and cerebrospinal fluid from patients with memory concerns in the clinic, and will be launching a new study called the Study to Understand Novel Biomarkers in Researching Dementia (SUNBIRD) to validate blood biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease in a large clinic-based cohort. This position is a member of a multidisciplinary research team and performs duties associated with the coordination and implementation of research studies/projects, data collection, and the management of data generate by study protocols. Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs in an academic inpatient setting. Communicates and collaborates effectively with patients, families, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other health professionals. Demonstrates the highest level of accountability for professional practice by participating in professional development, quality initiative/performance activities, and implementing standards of care within area of specialization.
