Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Nurse position is to participate under the administrative, clinical direction and leadership of the Director of the Neonatology Program and in collaborative relationship in the (Mother-Baby Unit), Neonatal Intensive Care Units (FICN and FIN Nurseries), Labor and Delivery areas with the other healthcare providers. Overview About the Role The Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) works with cancer patients and their families to remove barriers to care, provide emotional support and resolve issues related to the cycle of cancer care. The ONN works as a liaison to and in collaboration with the patient, physician, and other healthcare providers to manage the complex needs of cancer patients. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to be accountable for the care activities, safety and goal achievements of assigned patients through assessing, diagnosing, planning and intervening in actual or potential health problems and evaluating patient’s response to the care. These responsibilities also include patient education and discharge planning. The Registered Professional Nurse places emphasis on mobilizing patients and preventing skin breakdown, falls and implements the appropriate measures to achieve this. The Registered Professional Nurse is a member of a designated care team and collaborates, coordinates and guides team members in planning patient care in a safe environment and achieving patient care goals according to the patient/family developmental stage and cultural expectations. Qualifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. BLS required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in basic life support (BLS). Phlebotomy Certification or IV Certification is required. Proficiency in the English language is required. Minimum of one (1) year Adult Medical/Surgical experience within the past (3) years required. Successful completion of a Progressive Care Course or Progressive Care Certification preferred. BSN preferred. Ability to employ problem solving techniques and critical thinking. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to organize care/activities of multiple patients. 
Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Operating Room Technician II position is to be under the direct supervision of the professional nurse. The OR Technician II performs various duties to assist with surgical procedures and related operating room activities. The OR Technician II delivers care as reflected in the Association of Surgical Technologists’ Recommended Standards of Practice in a manner that is cost-effective without compromising quality of care. The OR Technician II possesses knowledge of the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. The OR Technician II demonstrates competency to scrub for minor/major surgical and endoscopic surgical procedures. An Operating Room technician II is a non-certified technician. The OR Technician II participates in departmental quality assessment and improvement activities, meets hospital continuing education and certification requirements, participates in student teaching activities, upholds Patient Care Services philosophy and objectives, demonstrates knowledge of Association of Surgical Technologists’ Recommended Standards of Practice, AORN’s Age Specific Competency Statements and demonstrates professional growth and development. Measurement of performance behavior is “as observed by Nurse Manager and/or Educational Specialist according to OR policy and procedure” unless otherwise indicated. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technician Program. Certified as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or equivalent required. AHA CPR required. One (1) year of related experience preferred. Must maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance. Must have understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with physicians and fellow workers. Must pay attention to detail. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. Must be self-motivated and work in an efficient and effective manner. Must work in air-conditioned environment with temperature of 65-73 degrees and humidity of 45-55%. When assigned to pediatric cases, temperature may be up to 85-90 degrees F. Must wear hospital provided scrub attire while on duty. Potential for cuts, bruises, muscle strains and exposure to contagious disease via and body fluids. Potential for exposure to anesthesia waste gases, ethylene oxide, harsh disinfectants, sterilizing agents, high steam pressure agents and radiation. Willingness to work with employees at various levels of skill, knowledge, and abilities. 
Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Assistant Nurse Manager position is to provide support to the Assistant Director Nursing UH (ADON) in the management of operations and uphold all standards of patient safety and quality measures. In collaboration with the ADON manages daily and monthly staffing, daily shift assignments, and payroll to obtain efficiency and reduce overtime and agency utilization. Is accessible, approachable, and visible to staff; seeks staff input; and serves as clinical mentor. Actively assists staff on routine matters and is first line of response to problem-solving. Ensures clinical competencies of staff and identifies areas in need of improvement. Communicates pertinent information to Assistant Director. Qualifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required, Master’s Degree preferred. BLS (CPR),and ACLS are required. Two (2) years of progressively more responsible nursing experience, one (1) year of which shall have been in the service to which the candidate is applying.
