POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overall care of assigned residents and supervision of direct care staff in the community. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Current, valid Registered Nurse license. Experience in long-term healthcare and skilled nursing care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed, both verbal and written documentation. Strong clinical assessment skills MDS skills preferred. POSITION DUTIES: Manage nursing staff operations routinely. Help implement and evaluate care plans for individual care of each resident. Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices. Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders in a timely manner. Reports required condition changes, events to appropriate parties. Administers medication/treatments as prescribed. Monitors infection control compliance. Investigates/documents accidents/incidents. 
Responsibilities and Purpose • Collect all required data for MDS, including admission, quarterly, due to change of condition, etc. • Mainatin timely and accurate MDS submissions • Work with DON and team to update Care Plans as appropriate • Electronically record and transmit MDS data according to the state database as required by state and federal regulations. • Great communication skills, organized, and teamwork approach. • Complete other duties as required and as given by Admin/DON Desired Experience and Education • Current LPN License. • Knowledge of the MDS and all associated tasks • Preveious MDS Coordinator experience preferred

The CMA must possess comprehensive knowledge of good residents care practices. Qualifications: Must have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations for Certified Medication Assistant. Physical Requirements: This job requires good physical and mental health. Physical activities may include lifting up to fifty pounds, rotating and assisting residents who are partially or totally dependent.
