Assists nursing staff in carrying out toileting program activities. Completes flow sheets daily to indicate that the specified task was done. Documents the progress of each resident as directed by supervisor. Keeps nurse and supervisor informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform the work as assigned (i.e. resident refusal, reassigned to nursing unit). Reports change in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse and supervisor. Core Responsibilities Of a Stress‑testing Nurse Patient assessment — Performs a focused pre‑test assessment: vitals, symptoms, cardiac history, medications, and contraindications. Ensures the patient is clinically appropriate for testing. IV access — Starts and manages IV lines for pharmacologic stress agents (e.g., Lexiscan, Dobutamine) and emergency medications. Medication administration — Safely administers stress agents and monitors for adverse reactions. Continuous monitoring — Monitors ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and patient symptoms throughout the test. Emergency readiness — Recognizes arrhythmias, ischemic changes, hypotension, or distress. Initiates ACLS protocols if needed. Patient education — Explains the procedure, expectations, and post‑test instructions. Documentation — Documents vitals, symptoms, medications, and any interventions in real time.
