Patient Care Associate / Patient Care Tech - 6D Neuro Intermediate

Position Details: 6D is an intermediate ICU otherwise called a Progressive Care Unit. The unit includes a 16 bed fully monitored unit. We provide high acuity care to critically ill post-operative traumas, stroke patients, and medical overflow. Common therapies seen on 6D are lumbar drain management, external ventricular drain management, antidysrhythmic/calcium channel blocking drips, low dose vasopressors, Bipap and high flow oxygen systems, insulin drips, and precedex. 6D works closely with Cardiovascular PCU and there are opportunities to cross train between departments. We are part of the Critical Care Cluster, which includes all ICUs and PCUs. 6D offers you the chance to deliver compassionate care in a setting that is busy, team oriented, and fulfilling.
