Position Title Medical Assistant, Primary Care Job Description Purpose & Scope: The Medical Assistant ensures the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care. Our rarely available RN opening with the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Pediatric Sedation Team offers 30 hours per week on day and evening shifts, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Our full-time sedation service, led by pediatric intensivists, provides sedation for non-invasive to minimally invasive procedures lasting a few minutes to several hours. The sedation team assesses the level of sedation needed and develops a plan of care for each child on an individualized basis. Our goal is to minimize the pain and emotional stress of treatment for the child while also supporting their family. The Pediatric Procedural Sedation Service at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital provides sedation for any medical procedure or test that is painful or anxiety-producing. The service includes elective procedures and both inpatients and outpatients. About this Job: General Summary of Position The Clinical Administrator is a member of MedStar Health entity-based Division of Nursing and leadership team. The role is accountable for directing and supervising clinical and administrative resources to ensure the provision of holistic culturally competent quality safe and cost-effective evidence-based nursing care for patients and families. This is accomplished by direct action delegation coaching and support of the Division of Nursing's associates and shared/collaborative governance activities.
