What You Will Do: The NNP manages critically ill neonatal patients using collaboration, consultation and direct care. Independent practice of NNPs occurs in the specialized NICU at our newly implemented couplet care birthing unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. The NNP collaborates with neonatologists at our Level 3 NICU at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. The NNP is involved with the ongoing education of nursing staff, residents, and students. Maintains credentials with procedural privileges through the medical staff offices at WMH and OMH. This may include the provision of hands-on personal care services as well as tasks generally considered to be companion or homemaker in nature, such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, errands, transportation and companionship. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · 1,000 hours of long-term care with geriatric or chronically ill persons. This translates to approximately 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part time work.
