GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: As a Graduate Nurse (GN) strict adherence to all state applicable rules and regulations must be followed. The Preop PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) PAT Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the PACU, ensuring high-quality patient care during the post-anesthesia recovery phase. This role involves coordinating nursing staff, managing patient flow, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient recovery outcomes. POSITION’S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical & Patient Care Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the post-anesthesia recovery process, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Monitor patients in the PACU for complications, pain management, and overall recovery progress. Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices for post-operative pain control, airway management, and hemodynamic stability. Act as a clinical resource and provide guidance to PACU nursing staff in managing complex cases. Responsibilities and Duties of Caregivers: In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to): Assisting with transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving Medication reminders Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises Dementia care Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc. Qualifications and Skills of Caregivers: High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. Must be able to Transfer 50 lbs without assistance Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance Pass a background check 6 months to 1-year experience preferred Must be able to pass a drug test ( upon hire & randomly ) Right at Home is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates, supports and promotes diversity and inclusion.
