Assists patients with turning in bed and transferring from bed to stretcher or chair using appropriate technique (i.e. transfer mattress). Provides incontinent care to patients. Assists patients with eating and drinking per care plan. Maintains and documents fluid intake, output measurements and vital signs on patients per care plan. Assists with obtaining late trays as needed. Maintains infection control precautions per Infection Control Policy. Cleans the food refrigerators on a weekly basis. Maintains unit food inventory on a daily basis. Prepares room for the next patient by cleaning and making bed. Qualifications Job Requirements Minimum Education High School Diploma preferred AHA CPR certification obtained within 60-days of hire MOAB class required within 60 days of hire Minimum Licenses and Certifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification required -OR- A minimum of 75 hours in an accredited nursing program to include completion of first rotation -OR- Active EMT or Paramedic Certification - OR- Active Patient Care Technician/Assistant Certification -OR- Active Home Health Aide Certification Successful completion of a Nurse Aide program OR previous Massachusetts CNA licensure for Nurse Aide or equivalent from out of state. Minimum Work Experience 1 year experience in a long term care facility. Med/Surg experience preferred.
