POSITION : part-time all shifts 7:00am-3:15pm, 3:00pm-11:15pm and 11:00pm-7:15am (scheduled every other weekend) Requirements include : •Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program with a current license to practice in New York State. •Demonstrates interest in the special needs of geriatric patients and possesses an ability to integrate principles of geriatric nursing into nursing practice. •Ability to establish effective interpersonal relations with patients, staff and families. •Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. •Education in all areas of LTC/Subacute to ensure competency on all units in the facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : •Participates in the nursing care of patients within the scope of the legal definition of the practice of practical nursing.
