RESPONSIBILITIES With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but not limited to: Companionship Light cooking and cleaning Bathing, grooming and toileting Assistance with ambulation and medication reminders Transportation for appointments and errands QUALIFICATIONS CNA or HHA license preferred or 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part-time work caring for geriatric or chronically ill persons Exceptional communication skills Reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver's license and auto insurance Proof of current TB testing Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable Pass a criminal background check (national and required by the state) Prefer 1,000 hours of long-term care with geriatric or chronically ill persons Exceptions to this requirement are for recently licensed Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Personal Care Aid (PCA), caring for a family member or persons who will only be providing companionship and housekeeping services. Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position. Must have available reliable transportation; if transporting clients, must also have proof of a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance. Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by state) and a drug screen. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MED TECH - PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT As a Med Tech - Personal Care Attendant, you act as a caregiver and maintain the dignity and privacy of each of our assisted living residents. Following written instructions, you carefully administer medication. You check on residents' well-being, making sure that they are well cared for. You love interacting with each resident - it's like hanging with a grandparent! With attention to detail, you keep accurate documentation of all medication administration. You are quick to respond to any falls or other healthcare concerns. You also help with minor treatments.
