Description UNC Medical Center is hiring New Grad Nurses to join our Geriatric, Crisis Stabilization, and Perinatal Psychiatry Unit! Seeking nursing graduates to start in the Winter 2026 Position Offering: Shift: 2 day shifts and 1 night shifts with rotating weekend & holidays Hours: Full Time; 36 hrs/wk; three/12 hour shifts Entity: UNC Medical Center Location: Chapel Hill, NC In order to qualify for the UNC Medical Center New Graduate Residency program, candidates must currently be in their final semester of nursing school or recently graduated from nursing school within the past 12 months of the anticipated start date and worked as a RN for less than 6 months. The New Graduate Residency is a yearlong program supporting transition from academia to practice for new graduate nurses. Additionally, the program provides mentored clinical relationships to support development as a professional nurse. It is required for the applicant to pass the NCLEX exam and be a licensed RN prior to the first day of employment. 4 Neurosciences is comprised of three adult units which serve specific mental health populations. Perinatal Psychiatry is a 5-bed unit solely focused on treatment of women with psychiatric disorders during pregnancy or post-partum. Description New Graduate RN needed for Acute Burn and Wound Care Unit at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC. This is a 36 hours/week position, day/night and weekend rotation, with flexible self-scheduling. This position qualifies for an extensive benefit package. 5 East is a 15 - bed Acute Burn and Wound Unit and we function as an extension of the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center. This unit operates with a 5:1 patient ratio. We care for adult patients who have a burn injury and/or other type of complex wounds. The burn injuries on our unit are acute and generally less than 20% of total body surface area. We provide burn and wound care to these patients from the acute through rehabilitative phase. We also care for overflow patients from other units on the acute care surgical units and occasionally overflow form the acute care medicine units with patients including but not limited to: plastic surgery patients, diabetic wounds, and pressure ulcers. Nurses on 5 East are trained in medical-surgical nursing as well as Burn and Wound care . Our nursing team works with the interdisciplinary team to provide the best possible care for our patients. The team includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nursing assistants, physical, occupational and recreational therapists, chaplains, and rehabilitation counselors, social workers and dieticians. Description New Graduate RN needed for the GI Surgery & Surgical Oncology Acute Care Unit/ 6 Memorial. This division is affiliated with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Similarly, our GI physicians are known for their efforts in enhancing patient care for upper and lower gastrointestinal patients. Our patient populations require close post-operative observation, occasional remote cardiac telemetry, early aggressive mobilization, pulmonary hygiene, extensive physical therapies, IV, central line/PICC line care, administration of TPN, anticoagulation, oxygen therapy, pain management, blood product administration, intake/output and ostomy care. Description UNC Medical Center is hiring New Grad Nurses for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit- Start Dates in 2027 The CICU provides patient and family centered care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to medical cardiology patients. The CICU specializes in treatment of acute and chronic heart failure, cardiogenic shock, post cardiac arrest, STEMI and NSTEMI, noninvasive valve repair (TAVR), and vascular patients. CICU nurses are educated to successfully manage and care for patients with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, pulmonary artery catheters, temporary and permanent pacemakers, ventricular assist devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, continuous dialysis, and undergoing hypothermic care.
