Department Overview ECMO services are provided for both neonatal and pediatric patients with severe respiratory and/or cardiac inssiciency that is unresponsive to mechanical ventilation and medical therapy. Staff are available 24-hours-a-day for professional consultation, patient transport, or provision of ECMO. Services are provided on the Minneapolis campus. Job Overview Fairview is looking for an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN. The hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions! It has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley since 1984. Our ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center. We have 45 beds and a yearly census of approximately 67,000 and growing! Team members include Board Certified Emergency Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, transport, and Case Managers. Emergency Department Registered Nurses provide emergency nursing care for a diversified population of all age distributions (infant to geriatrics) and all problem types in a very lively Emergency Room. The Fairview Ridges ER processes 67,000 cases per year, with an average of 184 patients seen daily. The position duties include assessment, care planning, interventions, and instructing. New positions added due to volumes/growth. The patient population served by the Emergency Department consists of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring or seeking medical care. The Minneapolis clinic is a hospital-based pediatric primary care clinic offering outpatient services to a population of patients (infants through adolescents) from urban and suburban areas of the surrounding metro areas. Families receiving care in the clinic speak a variety of primary languages. The clinic provides a range of services, from well-child care to walk-in care, as well as educational and outreach programs. Providers care for children with complex medical and psychosocial issues, manage acute and chronic childhood illnesses, and provide parental guidance for childhood development and nutrition. University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Team, primarily at University of Minnesota Medical Center. In This Role, You Will: Cover inpatient ICU and step-down units as well as outpatient clinic Provide care to patients with cardiac conditions, ranging from the routine to the complex (such as end-stage heart failure and transplant). Our specialists provide comprehensive surgical expertise. Valve repair for aortic and mitral valve pathology is commonly performed, employing innovative techniques of leaflet excision, chordal replacement, annuloplasty, and valve resuspension. Provide and coordinate surgical care for adults with selected cardiothoracic diseases throughout the course of evaluation and treatment, including hospital admission, surgical intervention, inpatient care, consultations, and discharge planning. This includes clinic follow-up, providing information to referring physicians and institutions, and patient /family education. Provide and coordinate continuity of care between the hospital floor setting, operating room, and clinic. This individual must show commitment to exemplary patient care. Share responsibility for assessment and management of patient in cardiothoracic surgical services. Write admission and daily notes, order and direct discharge planning and follow up. Work to improve the quality of care and to decrease length of stay on the inpatient service.
