Responsibilities include conducting various cardiac tests to monitor patients' heart and blood vessel conditions using diverse cardiology equipment, preparing procedure rooms, prepping patients for procedures, obtaining, and recording patient information, assisting physicians in procedure by circulating procedures, X-ray fluoroscopy proficiency, performing blood work analyses, and operating intra-cardiac ultrasound. Directs and practices safety guidelines for themselves, staff, and patients. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions procedures. Maintains a high level of expertise in specialty procedures within their assigned lab. Med Surg RN Position Summary The Med Surg RN provides general nursing care to a diverse population of patients affected by cardiopulmonary, neurological, and surgical conditions. Examples of patients include dysrhythmias, COPD, CHF, HHNK, CVA/TIA, acute infectious disease, post-op surgical recovery and complex wound care. The Med Surg RN is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. The Med Surg RN acts as a patient advocate. The RN provides support, information and direct care and utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures. The Registered Nurse educates patients and families on significant self-care issues. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required. Med Surg RN Position Requirements Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must hold a license in the state of permanent residency. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire Med Surg RN Work Schedule May be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy. Scheduled off at least three holidays per year. Required to work weekends per unit need. Expected to work overtime on occasion. L&D RN Position Summary The L&D RN provides nursing care for pregnant mothers beginning around the 16th week of pregnancy all the way through the immediate postpartum period. The L&D RN also provides care to the newborn immediately after delivery as well as care for families that experience a loss of pregnancy.
