Medical Assistant, Dermatology - Full-Time, Days

Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine as a Medical Assistant with our Dermatology team at our South Loop clinic. In this role you will partner with the rest of the clinical team to provide patients the highest quality of care. Our South Loop location offers care in a vibrant neighborhood near downtown Chicago. Our patients have access to comprehensive adult and pediatric primary care and specialty care, all in one location. Our world-class team provide medical exams, immunizations, treatment for injuries and chronic illness management. The Medical Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), or Physician, assisting with a range of clinical and administrative tasks such as administering vaccines, conducting EKGs, recording vital signs, maintaining accurate patient records, and collaborating with the healthcare team to enhance patient care. Essential Job Functions: Know and practice the University of Chicago Medical Center’s Pride Values and Patient Centered Care Definition and Principles. Perform any or all duties involving direct patient care as assigned by the registered nurse or physician and within the scope of the Nursing policies and procedures. Appropriately implement and document patient and family education as delegated by the RN or physician. Obtain and record vital signs.
