This role works collaboratively with the NSICU team to provide specialized nursing care for critically ill neuroscience patients. The NSICU specializes in neurosurgical procedures, neurologic medical conditions, and comprehensive stroke care, with a patient population that is approximately 70% surgical, with specialties in tumor, neurovascular, and spine surgeries. As a Comprehensive Stroke Center for North Texas, it provides specialized care for acute strokes requiring neurological monitoring, mechanical thrombectomy, or surgical decompression.
