Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 7PM to 7AM with rotating weekends. Type: In Person. The Adult Mood Disorders Unit at Sheppard Pratt is a 19-bed unit that treats adult patients with a variety of mood disorders. Patients are treated under the expert care of experienced psychiatrists, nursing, and other clinical staff. As a Registered Nurse/RN you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team. Requirements: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position. Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred. All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment. The Johns Hopkins Hospital Psychiatric Acute Inpatient Unit, Schizophrenia (Meyer 5) is a 19 bed unit specializing in the treatment of schizophrenia psychotic disorders as well as treatment of psychiatric disorders that may include evidence of disruption in behavior, cognition, or mood. This unit features a Schizophrenia Day Hospital that provides ongoing/treatment interventions such as pharmacotherapy, individual and group psychotherapy, and psycho-education groups. Qualifications : BSN/MSN preferred. Must be from an accredited nursing program. Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire. Job Details: The Johns Hopkins Hospital- Bloomberg 12 has a 15-bed acute care inpatient psychiatry unit and a 12-slot psychiatric Day Hospital for voluntary patients aged 5-17. Most commonly seen diagnoses include mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar and adjustment disorders. About this Job: General Summary of Position The Clinical Administrator is a member of MedStar Health entity-based Division of Nursing and leadership team.
