Responsibilities to include: Nurse Practitioner: Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic wounds under the supervision of the outpatient wound care clinic physicians in a clinic or facility setting. Focus on health promotion and disease prevention. Provides clinical services and develops and implements plan of care in conjunction with collaborating physicians. May order and interpret diagnostic test such as lab work and imaging. May prescribe medication within scope of practice. Physician Assistant: Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic wounds as a part of a healthcare team both in an office and facility setting under the supervision of the outpatient wound care clinic physicians. Care planning, follow-up visits, updating treatment plan including medication, ordering and interpreting lab, imaging and other diagnostic testing in the medical record as appropriate and within scope of care. May prescribe medication within scope of practice. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or Physician’s Assistant Program Current Louisiana State APRN or PA Licensure Current ACLS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Strong computer skills Eligible for limited prescriptive authority in Louisiana as approved by St Tammany Health System. Good organizational skills. The Value Analysis Specialist is responsible for the Product Evaluation/Value Analysis Program (PEVA) through collaboration with Executive Leadership, Supply Chain Leadership, Medical Staff, Clinical Staff, and Vendors.
