Nurses in this unit receive training in chemotherapy administration and the care of hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant patient. Nurses complete Oncology Nursing Society/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONS/ONCC) Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification as part of orientation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Nursing required Two (2) years clinical experience required Progressive leadership experience required Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact. Responsibilities Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services. In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit. How will you make a difference at LBHH? Medical Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNPs) at Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital deliver quality nursing care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care. Medical CRNPs are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks: Maintain a minimum caseload of 12 patients. Obtains comprehensive health history; perform physical examination on new admissions and document/dictate in patient record if applicable. Perform and/or participate in rounds of hospitalized patients, including physical assessments, interpretation of diagnostic studies, interaction with nursing staff and documentation in medical record.
