Responsibilities South Bend Orthopaedics is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedic Walk-In / Urgent Care Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated APP to serve as a primary point of care for patients presenting with acute musculoskeletal injuries and conditions — without an appointment. In this fast-paced, rewarding role, the APP will independently evaluate and manage a broad range of orthopedic urgent care needs, from fractures and dislocations to sprains, lacerations, and overuse injuries. The APP will work in a 1-to-1 model with an orthopedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. This position shares time between assisting in surgery (approximately two days per week) and running a clinic practice schedule (approximately two to three days per week). The ideal candidate has a strong desire to focus their clinical skills on general musculoskeletal acute and chronic injuries. The APP will join our advanced practitioner team and will be required to take weekend call with your physician (approximately 6 weekends per year).
