This is a per-visit, hourly position — you'll be scheduled as needed to go into clients' homes and coach caregivers through the hands-on skills that are hardest to learn from a manual, with a particular focus on safe transfers and care for clients with limited mobility. The Caregiver Skills Trainer is responsible for creating extraordinary client and family experiences and ultimately trains our caregivers in the home. Provide one-on-one, in-home training to caregivers on safe transfer techniques, including Hoyer lift (mechanical/full body lift) transfers and gait belt transfers. Train caregivers on the care of bed-bound clients: safe repositioning and turning, use of draw sheets, skin and pressure injury (bedsore) prevention, and proper body alignment. This position requires availability Monday - Sunday. Our urgent cares are open 9 A - 9 P M-F, as well as 9 A - 6 P on the weekends. You will be scheduled for 72-80 hours per pay period, and your schedule can be comprised of 12, 10 or 8 hour shifts. The total compensation target pay range for this role is $72 - $76/hr. This pay range represents our national target range for this role. Total compensation will be evaluated based on experience, certifications, and skillsets. Job Title: X-Ray Technician/MA Reports to: Center Manager Summary The X-Ray Technician/MA will be responsible for assisting in examination and treatment of patients under direction of the Physician. Major Responsibilities Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment. Hands instruments and materials to doctor as directed. Cleans and sterilizes instruments. Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials. Operates x-ray, electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests. Gives injections or treatments, and performs routine laboratory tests. Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications Current limited X-Ray permit issued by the California Department of Public Health (expanded scope is ideal- to include digital radiography, chest, extremities, and torso-skeletal) is required CPT I certification Experience performing EKGs, blood draws, vital signs and IM injections. Ability to work well under pressure and be quick on your feet Neat and professional appearance Effective written and verbal communication skills Vocational certificate in Medical Assistant Working Conditions Center-Based. Requires working in a clinical setting. The noise level is moderate and there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens. The ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
