Provides proper education and guidance as necessary. Assists patients with accessing medications including obtaining prior authorizations and accessing prescription assistance programs. Provides healthcare education to patients and/or families or staff as assigned. Provides CLIA Waived laboratory testing as ordered. Maintains CLIA waived laboratory environment including Quality Control testing and documentation. Monitors received laboratory values and reports abnormal values as required. Phlebotomy may be required. Provides employee health services as directed, including annual influenza vaccination clinics and staff TB skin testing. Works in collaboration with other members of the treatment team and in collaboration with external health care providers as necessary. Nurses may provide direct physical supervision to Certified Medical Assistants and delegate tasks in accordance with the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act and other applicable regulations. Completes clinical documentation within organization’s policy standards. Maintains all mandatory trainings up to date.
