Overview JOB SPECIFICS The Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU) is a 64-bed, private-room unit with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit, and a Small Baby Unit. Team consists of our full-time neonatologists, nurse practitioners, residents, APP and physician fellows, nurses, respiratory therapists, and consultants from multiple specialties deliver the most advanced care to premature and high-risk infants. Rounding approach is family centered. Isolation facilities available. Management of premature and high-risk infants including bedside invasive and non-invasive monitoring, conventional and high-frequency ventilation, and surgery in multiple specialties, including cardiac and neurology. Opportunity to perform procedures such as intubation, thoracentesis, PICC, arterial and umbilical lines as well as newborn resuscitation for all high-risk deliveries. Additional opportunities to assist with transport of critical infants and to rotate to Level II nurseries in the OSF HealthCare System.
