Location SAINT LOUIS, MO 63110 Scheduled Hours 20 Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive, hands-on care to pediatric surgical patients as an integral member of the Washington University Division of Pediatric Surgery at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. This position combines inpatient and outpatient pediatric surgical care, with a strong emphasis on direct patient contact, procedural care, trauma follow-up, and the management of children with complex wounds and burns. The Nurse Practitioner will participate in the Pediatric Acute Wound Service (PAWS), providing evaluation, treatment, procedures, and longitudinal management for children with complex wounds, burns, and other acute wound-care needs. The Nurse Practitioner will also staff outpatient pediatric surgery clinics and outpatient trauma clinics, including evaluation of new patients, postoperative follow-up, and ongoing management of surgical and traumatic conditions.
