Education Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. Education Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing would be a plus. Experience Required: All clinical nurses with less than one-year registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program. This position is not eligible for the residency program. Experience Preferred: Must have at least one year of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting. Licenses/Certification Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Licenses/Certification Preferred: Certification in oncology or other nursing specialty. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required by patient care area.
