Purpose Statement/Position Summary The Registered Nurse, under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. The Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing dialysis (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT) for acute inpatients, in accordance with MD orders, hospital policy, and CMS guidelines. The Medical Assistant (MA) performs clinical and administrative duties under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner and within the scope of practice established by California law, organizational policies, and delegated clinical responsibilities.
