This role requires clinical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage a team in a dynamic environment where patients present with both significant psychiatric needs and medical comorbidities. This Director, supported by a unit-based Nurse Manager, will lead a team of approximately 80 FTEs within a highly specialized inpatient unit providing care for patients with Medical and Behavioral Health diagnoses. Bean 2 is a fast-paced 12-bed Total Joint Center. This position offers the R6/B2 RN an opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a supportive environment as an integral member of a collaborative team of highly trained staff. The R6 patient population includes adults and older adolescents with neurological and orthopedic conditions including closed head injuries, strokes, brain tumors, seizure disorders, multi-traumas, and conditions requiring neurosurgical intervention. RNs providing care in the R6 IMC demonstrate astute assessment and critical thinking skills, as patients in IMC often have multi-system issues that require telemetry monitoring, intra-cranial pressure monitoring, medication drips, frequent intervention, or other higher acuity care needs. The Bean 2 patient population consists of adults who have undergone joint replacement surgeries. This unit serves as the Joint Center for our nationally recognized and Joint Commission accredited joint replacement program. The RN on Bean 2 coordinates important milestones of care for each patient’s visit to facilitate a timely and safe discharge. This unit sees a high turnover of patients and consistently receives exceptional patient satisfaction scores. Description Maine Medical Center Biddeford, ME Nursing Req #: 78116 Full Time/Days (0700-1900) This is a Registered Nurse 1 or 2 vacancy open to all RN candidates For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2years of experience! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. The Adult Acute Care Unit (MS3) is a 56 Bed / 36 Telemetry – Medical / Surgical unit with a concentration on complex adult patient populations from a wide variety of cardiac, pulmonary, GI, post-surgical, and orthopedics.Develop andutilizeadvanced organizational, prioritization, communication, and leadership skills while working closely with other healthcare professionals in a team-oriented work environment. We offer the option of every other or every 3rdweekend rotation and a self-scheduling tool Summary The Registered Nurse - New Graduate - Acute Care role is working progressively towards competency and independence in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The New Graduate Program is intended to support the new graduate nurse in making the transition from student to competent clinical practitioner. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education:Graduate of accredited School of Nursingrequired; BSN preferred. License/Certifications:Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurserequired. Current BLS certificationrequiredor must obtain within30 daysof start date.
