UNC Gastrointestinal Procedures (Hillsborough Campus), we are deeply experienced at caring for patients with a full spectrum of GI and liver conditions, from the straightforward to the complex. UNC gastroenterologists have written many of the national guidelines for diagnosing and treating digestive and liver diseases. Each year we staff more than 25,000 clinic visits and perform more than 20,000 GI endoscopic procedures and 3,500 motility procedures. Incentive This position qualifies for a $10,000 incentive paid out over the course of 3 years. Summary: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Responsibilities: 1. Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. With assistance, uses patient education materials relevant to patient population. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient/family/caregivers. Our perioperative services include 16 Preop roomettes, 12 PACU Phase I bays, 6 Phase II bays on the main campus, and 8 prep/hold bays in our Medical Office Building to support procedural care. We provide comprehensive surgical care across multiple specialties, including an Orthopedic Center of Excellence for Total Joints, Sports Orthopedics, Foot & Ankle, Ortho & Neuro Spine, general surgery, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, and gastroenterology. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (five 8-hour shifts/week) with call requirements. On-call coverage will be 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Description Nursing Assistant needed for Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This unit provides patient and family centered care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to medical cardiology patients.
