Responsibilities The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides care for blood and marrow transplant patients and immunotherapy patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings under the supervision of the attending physician. The APP is responsible for the primary care of the patient to include assessment, triage and management of the transplant patient as part of a collaborative transplant team. Responsibilities include obtain medical history, perform physical examinations, review and order diagnostic studies, radiographs and prescribe treatments. APPs perform bone marrow aspirations, lumbar punctures and are first assists with Bone Marrow Harvests and provide follow-up care of bone marrow donors under the supervision of attending physician. Qualifications Required: Must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant training program or appropriate Nurse Practitioner program and be able to practice in the state of Washington (licensed). Have National Certification as appropriate for profession. Must be licensed for schedule II drug authority. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Basic computer skills are essential. Must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Must enjoy long-term relationships with patients undergoing intense therapy. Preferred: Oncology or BMT experience preferred. It is unique from a traditional NICU as many of the patients have congenital diagnoses requiring specialized pre-operative surgical and postoperative surgical care. Critically ill neonates with complex medical issues are also cared for in this unit. Responsibilities •Assist guests/patients during admissions, transfers, and discharges. Check each guest/patients routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes and the care plan.•Review care plans daily to determine if changes in the guests/patient's daily care routine have been made on the care plan. Qualifications •CNA license certification prior to hiring.•Must have a current CPR and fingerprint clearance card.•Minimum of six (6) months CNA/LNA experience preferred.•Recent Long-Term Care/ Skilled Nursing Facility or Transitional Rehab experience) •LTC/SNF/Rehab preferred.
