May need to help cover front desk and provide backup to patient registration/scheduling. Performs patient care tasks as delegated by Provider or RN Performs injections. Assists with procedures. Coordinates results of tests, procedures etc. with provider or RN. May prepare refill information for provider to review and prescribe. May assist with patient transportation. Contributes to an environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and employees. Reports environmental risks or equipment malfunctions to Supervisor and via safety huddles. Uses equipment following policies, procedures and manufacturer directions or standards. Follows all policies, procedures, standard work, and proper techniques when providing patient care. Cleans, stocks, maintains inventory for exam, medication and supply rooms. Reports any acute problems and changes in patient's condition. Applies High reliable safety principles to all interactions. Job Overview Fairview is looking for an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN. The hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions! It has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley since 1984. Our ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center. We have 45 beds and a yearly census of approximately 67,000 and growing! Team members include Board Certified Emergency Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, transport, and Case Managers. Emergency Department Registered Nurses provide emergency nursing care for a diversified population of all age distributions (infant to geriatrics) and all problem types in a very lively Emergency Room. The Fairview Ridges ER processes 67,000 cases per year, with an average of 184 patients seen daily. The position duties include assessment, care planning, interventions, and instructing. Job Overview Fairview is seeking a Patient Placement RN to join our team at our Midway Campus in St. Paul, Minnesota. This is a part-time position (0.8 FTE/64 hours every two weeks) and is benefit eligible. This role is scheduled for day/evening shifts with start times of 6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m., and includes an every-third-weekend rotation. The Patient Placement RN plays a vital role in coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely placement to support safe, efficient care across the health system. The Patient Placement RN will collaborate with hospital staff and physicians to support optimal patient flow across the system.
