Job Requirements The Home Training Registered Nurse evaluates, trains, and provides support to the dialysis facility’s home patients, care partners, and families. This position exercises knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. The position must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assume the responsibility of caring for the dialysis patient. Work Experience Registered Professional Nurse with current state licensure. Twelve (12) months of experience in nursing. Meets all applicable state/licensing requirements. Additional three (3) months of experience in the specific modality unless otherwise specified in specific state regulations. Documented training and experience in peritoneal dialysis and/or home hemodialysis and maintenance of the dialysis access. Basic training certificates if less than one (1) year in this modality. Previous supervisory and teaching experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current CPR Certification Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
