Description Kindred Hospital Greensboro is a 101-bed long-term acute care hospital treating chronically, critically ill patients who require an extended stay in a hospital setting with individualized care plans. We offer a 6-bed ICU and seven negative pressure rooms. We are accessible via I-85 expressway, nestled between Clinton Heights and Lincoln Heights Neighborhoods for your convenience. Job Summary Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, emotional support and performs more complex clinical skills under the direction of professional nursing personnel. Essential Functions Consults with and keeps supervisor informed of unit activities, needs and problems related to patient care. What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred. The Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing support and coordinates with the analysis of patient needs in a clinic setting. Working under close supervision, this role assists with documenting patient information, processing recommendations, and handling various administrative tasks to assist in delivering quality patient care. Essential Job Function: Assists healthcare professionals to deliver patient care by preparing examination rooms, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records. Processes recommendations from healthcare providers, such as medication orders, referrals, and diagnostic tests, to ensure accuracy and timely execution. Provides patient education and support by explaining treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions, addressing any questions or concerns. Handles administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient documentation, managing medical supplies, and assisting with medical billing and insurance claims. Supports medical professionals during appointments and clinic visits, providing crucial patient history information to best treat the patient. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and Diploma Practical Nursing. Experience: Licensure/Certification/Listing: Required: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure, successfully pass NC Nursing Boards for LPN and maintain a current and continuous unrestricted LPN License, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
