Responsibilities The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification. Qualifications Student or Graduate of a nursing program. All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date of April 1, 2020 and after must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing program within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date. All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date prior to April 1, 2020 must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing program as stipulated by the degree requirement program in place at time of hire. Additional Qualifications: One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Experience working in a team environment. Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills. License or Certification: Current RN license by applicable state requirements. Is constantly vigilant to the safety needs of patients, taking necessary precautions as warranted. Follows recommended infection control procedures when caring for patients. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) General Surgery 0.90 FTE, 72 Hours a Pay Period Days, Hours between 7:30 am - 5 pm Weekends: No Weekends Holidays: No Holidays *Starting Pay Between $20.55 - $25.69 Based on Experience Position Overview: The Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the care of the clinic patients under the direction of the RN or the provider. The LPN is responsible to deliver the highest of customer service standards for patients and families presenting for services at Winona Health. The LPN will perform patient care including rooming of patients, performing observations, and gathering of data for the provider. Patient information will be entered into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
