Each member of our team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and the delivery of high-quality care. MAs assist with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting in procedures. Candidates for this position should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. About the unit 1E is a 20 bed Med/Surg unit at Blodgett Hospital. Nurses enjoy working on 1E as you are able to become an expert in so many areas since we care for a wide variety of diagnosis. Some of the patients we care for are those with Respiratory illnesses, Acute Kidney Injuries, DKA, Septic Shock and many more. We also have a surgical population of Mastectomy patients and Thyroidectomy patients. In addition to some of the above stated items, 1E also uses Endotool which is our continuous insulin drip program and utilizes cardiac drips. Teamwork is vital within our unit and the staff work to ensure sound communication with the whole care team.
