Summary The Department of Anesthesiology is recruiting for faculty Advanced Practice Providers, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants at Texas Children's Hospital, in Austin, Texas to administer pain management care to pediatric patients. CRNAs assist in perioperative patient management, including the performance of preoperative anesthetic evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia, postoperative anesthesia care, and respond to emergency/code situations when warranted. Responds to emergency/code situations to provide airway management. Documents anesthetic information and patient condition. May supervise or provide directions to student registered nurse anesthetists. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education Required: Master’s degree in in Nursing. NICU IV offers the highest possible level of specialized treatments as well as expert specialists for babies born prematurely or with unique health challenges. It is located on the 4th floor of the West Tower and is an open pod unit with a few private isolation rooms. The open pod unit fosters teamwork and collaboration amongst the nurses. Babies admitted to this unit may have been born at the Pavilion for Women, transferred in from other departments in our hospital, or from hospitals across Texas and beyond. A team of NICU-specialized nurses, providers, respiratory therapists, social workers, child life specialists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, music therapists, care coordinators, and pharmacists come together to care for our patients and families. TCH NICU IV RN’s will be responsible for caring for critically ill neonates and infants requiring complex care and the highest level of support. Job Description We are in search of a Registered Nurse for the PICU at Main Campus for DAYSHIFT . Someone who excels in fast-paced learning with dynamic flexibility in a critical care setting. Our PICU is divided into 4 cohorts for better patient outcomes.
